Fake sale: Police granted remand of ‘fraudster’

The forged papers shows Salma Amjad to be the owner while the actual owner is one Salma Bibi.

LAHORE: Judicial Magistrate Syed Ali Arsalan Shah on Monday granted four days’ physical remand of a person allegedly involved in fraudulently selling a house. Naseerabad police produced Muhammad Abrar before the court and sought his remand to complete their invesitgation. Abrar, Mian Ilyas, Salma Amjad, Tariq and Aslam allegedly prepared fake documents and sold a house in Walton area to Munir Khan for Rs800,000. The forged papers showed Salma Amjad to be the owner while the actual owner is one Salma Bibi. Khan registered an FIR after he discovered the fraud. The other accused have obtained interim bails.
