Jailed overseas: Pakistan in bid for prisoners’ release

ISLAMABAD: Around 8,715 Pakistanis are languishing in jails of different countries while the concerned ministry is making efforts to ensure their release early.

The government has taken numerous steps for their release including setting up of a Special Cell for Overseas Pakistanis which is headed by Director General (Overseas Pakistanis).
