
In the first incident, a police constable, identified as 35-year-old Mohammad Aslam, was shot dead in Ranchore Line, within the jurisdiction of the Napier police station. Police officials said that the victim had been posted at the Garden Police Headquarters and was on his way to home in Agra Taj Colony, Lyari, when two armed men shot and killed him. They said that initial investigation has led law enforcers to believe that he was shot as he tried to prevent robbers from stealing his motorcycle.
In a similar incident, a 22-year-old man, Saleem Khan, was shot dead in Nazimabad when he resisted two robbers on a motorcycle.
A worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Amir, was killed and his friend, Sheroz, was injured, when two men on a motorcycle shot them as they were sitting near their houses.
Two more men, Munir and Raees, who were reportedly affiliated with the MQM were injured by armed men in Nazimabad. They were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
In a separate incident, Shakeel was killed and his friend Ghulam Mustafa injured when two men shot them on Jahangir Road. Residents of the area protest ed against the incident by blocking Jahangir Road, burning tyres and pelting passing vehicles with stones.

In Jamshed Quarters, Waqas, 30, was shot dead near his home in Patel Para. Police claimed the victim used to work in Saudi Arabia and was shot dead by his maternal uncle, Fayyaz over a monetary dispute. The suspect managed to flee after the incident.
A general store owner, Azmatullah, 55, was shot dead by two men on a motorcycle within Shah Faisal Colony police limits.
In a separate incident, a man identified as Fayyaz was shot dead within Bahadurabad police limits. Police said that the victim and his family were going somewhere when unidentified men shot him. He was taken to Jinnah hospital where he succumbed to injuries. Initial investigation has led law enforcers to believe that he was killed as he resisted an attempted robbery.
The body of a 32-year-old man, identified as Mukhtiar Ahmed Khaskheli, was found from Pak Colony. He was shot at least seven times. Police said that the deceased hailed from Khuzdar and resided in Old Golimar.
