Fatal illness: Inmate dies of disease

KARACHI:

An inmate facing kidnapping for ransom charges died at Civil hospital.

The deceased, identified as Shaukat, was arrested by the Khwaja Ajmer Nagri police in 2004.

An FIR No. 04/2004 under Sections 365-A and 7-E of the Anti Terrorism Act, was registered against him. According to the medico-legal officer, Dr Aftab Channar, Shaukat was suffering from hemorrhoids and was in critical condition when he was brought to the hospital. He died during treatment.
