Economic equilibrium: President assures businessmen of ‘corrective measures’

Zardari seeks business community’s cooperation and support for ensuring continuity of economic policies.

President Asif Ali Zardari said on Tuesday that the government was aware of the problems being faced by the business community and industry, and assured that various corrective measures were being pursued to meet the challenges.


He sought the business community’s cooperation and support for ensuring continuity of economic policies being pursued in the country. “With your cooperation, we can have a better Pakistan tomorrow,” President Zardari said, while addressing the business community at 36th FPCCI Export Trophy Awards distribution ceremony at the Governor House.

Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Senior Federal Minister for Commerce Makhdoom Amim Fahim, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Haji Fazal Kadir Khan Sherani, FPCCI former president Tariq Sayeed were amongst the other figures present at the occasion.

President Zardari appreciated the business community’s role in reviving and strengthening the country’s economy despite many challenges, including natural calamities, floods and heavy rains destroying agriculture and infrastructure of the country over the last three years.
