KARACHI: Twenty-seven Sindh police officers have been included in the Police Services of Pakistan’s cadre, The Express Tribune learnt on Tuesday.

The provincial departmental promotion committee had sent a summary to the federal government for the approval of some 60 SPs, of which 27 have now been included in the PSP cadre. To qualify, the officer should be serving on the SP rank and have at least ten years of regular police service.

Seniority and personal character are also considered. Another entry route to the Police Service of Pakistan is through the CSS exams, after which all those who qualify are posted directly as ASPs.
