Promoting excellence: UBL wins ‘Bank of the Year’ award

UBL got the award for promoting industry-wide excellence in the global banking community.

KARACHI: United Bank Limited (UBL) has won ‘Bank of the Year 2012 Pakistan’ award from international publication The Banker. According to a press release, UBL got the award at a ceremony held in London recently for promoting industry-wide excellence in the global banking community – characteristics that The Banker advocates and rewards. While conferring the award, The Banker congratulated UBL on the trust that clients had shown in the bank and said this would serve the institution well in recovery. It also stated that the recognition as ‘Bank of the Year 2012 Pakistan’ reflected UBL’s strong management, sound business model and prudent risk approach.
