Promoting peace: Lawmakers urge interfaith harmony

            Federal lawmakers on Monday underscored the need to promote interfaith harmony, and to establish lasting peace in the country. MNA Malik Ibrar said on Monday that the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) believed in protecting rights of the minorities and has immense respect for people of all religions. “By promoting interfaith harmony, we can achieve lasting peace and curb challenges faced by the nation,” he said. Addressing the gathering, MNA Malik Shakil Awan lauded the role of the Christian community in the development of the country and underlined the need for close contact and interaction between people of various faiths living in Pakistan.
