Charges of corruption: Case registered against TMO Pano Aqil

SUKKUR: On orders of the Sukkur Anti-Corruption Court, Ghotki anti-corruption police registered a case against the Pano Aqil Taluka Municipal Officer (TMO) on charges of corruption on Tuesday evening. Abdul Rasheed Rind had filed an application in the court, stating that the present Pano Aqil TMO, Liaqat Kalhoro, during his earlier posting as TMO at Ubauro had misappropriated millions of rupees. Rind also claimed that Kalhoro was appointed on fake documents which was confirmed by the Ghotki Anti-Corruption Assistant Director Saifullah Phulpoto. While taling to The Express Tribune, Phulpoto said that the initial investigation indicates that Kalhoro is involved in usurping funds which amount to millions of rupees. Police are conducting raids for Kalhoro’s arrest.
