KARACHI:

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain called on party workers to remain united, regardless of what conspiracies or ‘delimitation of constituencies’ come their way.

In a speech delivered via telephone from London to workers at the party’s headquarters in Karachi, Hussain called for unity against landlords and feudals of all four provinces. He also asked for an end to differences on the basis of ethnicity, language, creed and faith, and said that all humans were equal, and regardless of their location, their problems were all the same. He reiterated the account of the MQM’s struggle, noting that it had countered propaganda and state operations, and was now successfully representing people from across Pakistan.

Regardless of whether constituencies are delimited to damage the MQM or any other tactics are used, Hussain stressed that the party’s message must be spread countrywide.
