No casualties: Bomb attack on ex-TMO’s vehicle

“We think the attacker only wanted to create panic,” says an official.

PESHAWAR: A vehicle belonging to ex-town municipal office (TMO) Aalam Shah was damaged when a bomb attached to it went off in Sheikhabad area last night. No loss of life was reported in the incident. Police said it was a low-intensity bomb and not powerful enough to inflict any greater damage. “We think the attacker only wanted to create panic,” said an official of Gulbahar police station. He added that the driver of the vehicle was returning after dropping Shah’s family at a wedding ceremony when the incident occurred. Shah escaped unhurt.
