PGMI poll: MTA office-bearers elected

LAHORE: Prof Israr Ahmed and Dr Sikandar Hayat Gondal have been elected as the president and general secretary respectively of the Medical Teachers Association (MTA), Post-Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and Lahore General Hospital. The other office-bearers elected are Vice President Dr Israrul Haq Toor Ahmed, Lady Vice President Dr Rozina, Finance Secretary Dr Khizer Hayat Gondal, Joint Secretary Dr Anwar Chaudhry and Lady Joint Secretary Dr Mamoona. Dr Akmal Shaheen, Dr Tariq Butt, Dr Agha Shabbir and Dr Muhammad Tanveer Anwar have been elected as executive members. Election Commissioner Dr Anwarul Haq has issued a notification on the successful candidates. PGMI and LGH Principal Dr Anjum Habib Vohra has congratulated the new MTA office-bearers. In his message, he hoped that the new leadership would play an active role for the improvement of the Institution and welfare of the teaching staff.
