Pak-India Relations: ‘Opening trade border should be expedited’

Indian High Commissioner says they were adhering to commitments and looking forward to Pakistan for the same.

Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Muhammad President Haroon Agar has urged to expedite the process of opening trade from the Khokrapar-Monabao border on the Wagah-Attari pattern.


The government of both countries should provide adequate infrastructure and modern integrated check-posts at the Khokrapar-Monabao border at the earliest to further increase bilateral trade between India and Pakistan, said Agar, while hosting the Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal.

Sabharwal said that India and Pakistan have to walk the last mile for trade liberalisation. He conversed that Indo-Pak dialogues were productive and subsequent development will be beneficial for two countries.

He said that Indians were adhering to commitments and looking forward to Pakistan for the same.
