Survey: ‘6 industrial units in residential areas’

JOHARABAD: There are currently six rice factories, a flour mill and a rice mill operating in residential areas. This was stated during a meeting of the Khushab District Government on Friday.

A Rescue 1122 representative told the meeting that two rice factories of the district were in a dilapidated condition. He also pointed out that most of the factories were not following fire safety regulations.

EDO (Finance) Qadeer Ahmed told the meeting that the government was carrying out a survey of illegal factories in residential areas and after its completion would take steps to relocate them to the industrial area.
