Performance review: Senate committee visits PSO

The MD highlighted the recent initiatives undertaken by PSO.

KARACHI: Members of the Senate Committee on Petroleum and Natural Resources, headed by Senator Mohammad Yousaf, visited PSO House on Tuesday to review the performance of the company. According to a press release, PSO CEO and MD Naeem Yahya Mir, while speaking on the occasion, said it was his vision to establish PSO among leading oil conglomerates of the world and the best company in Pakistan. He said he wanted to change PSO from a simple marketing and distribution company to a global energy company by developing an integrated supply chain which incorporates areas of exploration, refining, transportation and shipping. The MD highlighted the recent initiatives undertaken by PSO, including establishment of a refinery in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the Street Sponsorship programme whereby two streets in low-income areas of each province will be developed with state-of-the-art facilities to enhance living standards of people.
