In a hurried operation on Saturday, a builder demolished a century-old temple in Soldier Bazaar while the Sindh High Court was hearing a petition seeking a stay order.
Apart from razing down the pre-partition Shri Rama Pir Mandir, the private builder also demolished three or four houses located next to it. Nearly 40 people became homeless as a result.
“They destroyed our mandir and humiliated our gods,” said an angry Prakash, pointing towards the huge debris of concrete, stones and walls of the temple. The demolishing team did place the statues of four Hindu deities on the side but the residents accused them of taking away their gold jewellery and crowns.
Pointing to the bruises on his arms, Lakshman said that, “they hit me with their guns when I tried to stop them. I told them to kill me instead of destroying our holy place.”
Banwri recalled that the demolition teams arrived around 11 in the morning. She was preparing breakfast when she heard the thundering noise of a bulldozer. She rushed outside, only to receive instructions to bring her bed, cupboard and other essential items outside the house. “I watched my house go down in just minutes and I couldn’t do anything.”
She added that, during the demolition, the area was cordoned off by the police and Rangers with tents put up all around. Outsiders were not allowed to enter, she added.
Saveeta was among those 40 people who lost her house. “The dowry that I had given to my daughter for her wedding is all buried here,” she said with tears. With her husband out of station, she and her three children would be spending the night under the open sky.
There are around 150 Hindus in the neighbourhood and nearly four families live in each of the houses that were destroyed, according to an elderly resident, Kaali Das. “People were living in cramped houses, separated only by curtains. Over here, we live like animals,” he said, adding that some of these houses were as high as three storeys.
Angered by the builders’ actions, the crowd demanded the government arrange tickets to India for them. “If you don’t want us, we will go to India,” screamed a woman. Another man added that, “our temple is as sacred to us as your mosque is to you.”
For their part, the police denied the existence of the temple completely. The police maintained that they had orders to remove the encroachments. DSP Pervaiz Iqbal of Nabi Buksh police station said, “There was no temple there. There were just Hindu gods present inside the houses and we made sure that they were safe.”
The people were given plenty of time to remove their belongings out of the house, he said. “We did not injure anyone. In fact those people threw stones on us and our SHO Abid Hussain Shah was injured.”
The residents managed, however, to fish out a plaque of the temple from under the debris. Maharaj Badri, who lived inside the temple, also denied that the land was encroached upon. “Our ancestors have been living here way since independence. We are not encroachers,” he said.
Military Lands and Cantonment director Zeenat Ahmed insisted that the temple was “untouched” and denied that it was demolished. The operation was against illegal occupants, she said, adding that temples are old grant property (evacuee property). “The builder had possession of the place since years and these people were encroachers, and encroachers have no religion,” she added.
A video report on the incident can be viewed here.

I am an Indian and a Hindu , I was very much disappointed while reading this article and then I read comments posted to understand how does a Pakistani takes this incidence, and I was glad to see so many Pakistanis with compassionate and secular outlook towards the incidence. In every society there are people who play with people sentiments with sentiments of the people, but it was a great feeling on reading this comments, I see there is a hope for Pakistan with so many people with sense of justice.

"@amirliaqat: @Siddique Malik: @Yaida M: @gp65: @Amir: I don’t understand what the hullabaloo is all about. Pakistan is an Islamic country and like all other Islamic countries it is not required to respect other religions (same as Saudi or Maldives). At least Pakistan is more tolerant because as an Islamic country it allows churches and temples. Ever heard of a temple or church in Saudi? By Saudi standards, the burning of churches or razing of temples is OK in a Islamic country. But India is secular. The destruction of Babri Masjid in a secular country is unforgivable. A secular country needs to maintain the standards of humanity."
I am an Indian and I second that, third that and will agree with that all day long and twice on Sundays. It is easy to be bashful of others and not judge your own actions.
It is not an excuse, but after Babri incident, I have not heard of anything that happened even on a smaller scale. I am sure there were incidences that did not make the national news.
Overall, I disagree with any country being of a certain religion. That's just insane.
..Peace
Sad how everyone is so quick to pull the trigger on condemnation. Ironically, it seems that the few voices of reason in the horde of uninformed commentators are from across the border.
Not commenting whether Hindus are treated equal to Muslims here. That is a fair topic for debate.
This is societal and state degradation. When few influential people in society can conspire with controlling institutions to violate human rights, civil rights and throw away any ethical norms. If SHC does not hold people responsible for their crimes, it is an indication that Mafia will be ruling and those who are in government may one day succumb to the same tyranny when they are out of power.
For those who in their religious zeal don't speak up, just remember, God has destroyed great civilizations who were not just, and could not treat their citizens equally, you will be accomplices in downfall for your silence.
It's the land mafia in connivance with Muslim rulers taking away what ever is left of Hindu's and other communities including Shia's.
This is indeed a very shameful act and I condemned it. Having said that, I would like to ask my indian brothers, what about Golden temple and Babari Masjid? Weren't those places of worship and they suffered worst kind of state sponsored terrorism.
Here is link for my libral pakistani brothers who always think this kind incidents only happen in Pakistan. http://www.bbc.co.uk/urdu/india/2012/12/121203babrimasjidayodhyasz.shtml
Aurangazeb tried to demolish the Bamiyan budhas centuries back....and finally the upholders of that barbarous mentality succeeded some years back. The history of the subcontinent is replete with examples of temples being raided, destroyed by Muslim conquerors. So I am not surprised at this recent incident, which is only part of a pattern.
And inspite of all that has happened over the centuries, the demotion of the Babri masjid remains an aberration, and is even today an event which remains very much alive in Indian politics.
The destruction of this temple I am certain, will be forgotten in a few weeks, like all the hundreds of others which have been over the centuries.
Angered by the builders’ actions, the crowd demanded the government arrange tickets to India for them. “If you don’t want us, we will go to India,” screamed a woman.
This is troublesome.Worst thing one can do in life is to issue a warning & then leave it at that. It only makes the loyalty of community further suspect in the eyes of neighbours. That is one reason why a Muslim in India never talks of migrating away; he simply doesn't or he quietly does it but he threatens not in vein. I do not belittle any body's sorrow or an outburst in a moment of extreme anguish but Pak-Hindu approach is wrong,IMO. It is not worth losing local loyalties for distant dreams. It is better to stay on & fight for one's rights with the support of fair minded fellow-Pakistanis. A Hindu Sindhi will find more in common with a Muslim Sindhi than with a Marattha or Tamil Hindu. That said, safety of one's life is paramount & if there is such a break down of law & order that Hindu lives are specifically in danger & if they are targeted merely for what they are then the decision to move must be implemented. But if it is for the sake of demolition of a place of worship or suspect conversions then a migration based on evaporating emotions will be regretted one day.
This is a shameful act! However can't expect any respect for religious minorities in Islamic Pakistan. Well why don't the Pakistanis understand their forefathers were once Hindus. Hindusium roots are in sindh ( the land of sadhus), why is there a madness in sindh killing every day. Well I'm not asking Muslims to convert back to their parent religion but atleast think what have we gained in this conversion.
How can Muslims expect respect for Islam when they have little respect for other religions?
If Mehmood Ghaznavi (Great Extortionist) is hero of Pak. nation then Demolishing of Temples, Churches and Gurdvary are expected
@Blind:Actions of a few misguided hindus can never be termed as an action by d hindu community.Babri masjid demolition was condemned officially by d govt of india as well as a majority of d hindus and an un conditional apology extended time and again by all concerned.Attempts have been made to rebuild it bt a rigid posture of some wid vested interests have eluded a quick solution to d vexed issue.Remember dis too dat it was not a mosque at d time of demolition as no prayer had been made der for years and also dat it is a fact dat it was built on d ruins of a demolished temple. And do u believe in a tit for tat action.Wd u appreciate if mosques r brought down in reaction to dis episode ? what is wrong is wrong and trying to give lame excuses is trying shamelessly to cover d feeliing of guilt and pave d way for a total absense of d rule of law. Thanx !
@Omer: This was an operation against land encroachment, not religion. Many mosques have been demolished for identical reasons: "CDA demolished 7 mosques around January 2007 in the capital city of Islamabad which were reportedly built illegally on government's land. One of those mosques were built some 100 years ago"
PS: Public land is a better term than government land, imo, but the Raj mentality lingers...
Seriously this is not good. Im a common hindu guy in pakistan. i can protest. but how much and i know the reason, that here is only the value of Cash , Ministers , or a Sourceful Men. NO words to say bcoz no worth of your words.
The biggest mistake done by Hindus are that they believed the speech of Mr. Jinnah and chose to stay in a country which came into existence in the name of Islam and created for Muslims......It is time to seek asylum in the neighboring country......
If the temple is a century old, it must have been a protected monument. The saving grace is most of the Pak commentators here have the grace to condemn this act. The people that can really help Hindus in Pakistan are such non-Hindus.And Muslims in India can be supported powerfully only by non-Muslims. Since everybody is in minority in some way or the other at some time or the other our level of civilised conduct is determined by the way we treat the ones who do not have the volume of numbers on their side. (2) In India a temple demolition does not raise as big a hue & cry as a mosque or church demolition would. In Pak media the opposite may stand true. Paradoxical happenings are commonplace as the following show: In 2008 Narendra Modi CM despite being the archetypal Hindu Rightist bulldozed 200 Hindu temples, which he termed "illegal",in Gujarat's capital Gandhinagar alone. Barring a few grumblings nothing much was done by Gujaratis in protest. In 2011 a Muslim-friendly Delhi City Govt, armed with a court order demolished an "illegally" constructed small mosque in Jangupura, Nizamuddin. Massive protest were held. And who led the demonstrations? Jangpura's MLA Tarvinder Singh Marwah, a non-Muslim, who belonged to the ruling party.
Excellent suggestion abdussamad; the govt and its functionaries should demolish place of worship of minority community and public should do fund raising to help the victims. Thank you. where is my check book?
It appears that authorities are fully involved in this act at the same time when the case for stay order on demolition was being heard by the court. This act ( i don't know what adjective to use for it) shows complete disregard for law of the land by the executive branch of the government.
Needless to say it shows how intolerant, selfish and materialistic we have become over period of time.
Is there anyone who can provide justice to those affected by this most unwarranted most ugly act.
sad to hear. pakistan protect the minorities plzzzz
Demolosher shud'nt do this,,,
Instead of Temple,If there were an mosque,,then what they will do?????
I am actually proud of both Pakistani s and Indians in this forum here...Because I never saw both us support a cause together till now.Everywhere we start fighting with each other. I think this is the new India/Pakistan with youngster s from both sides and religions fighting for the right things.I am really proud of everyone of you, your comments speak of humanity than religion.Hat s off
The builders pulled a fast one. The builder's lawyer posed as the petitioners' lawyer and got the stay order in court and THAT's how the temple was demolished. Read the related story: http://bit.ly/TyLDAT
Where are the people who went on rampage ?It's a monolithic religion , the earlier we wake up , earlier world will be saved . Yesterday brother duo arrested in USA in terrorism charges .He was only 13 and had roots in Pakistan.
@Sudheer: "I, as a citizen of India, demand my government to welcome helpless Paki Hindus into India and rehabilitate them with full government expenses. After all this is the only country in the world where a Hindu can find refuge. Oh yes! I am a secular person, perhaps, more than anyone else. And why do I consider myself as a secular person? The answer is simple, because I was born in a Hindu family."
Government of Pakistan should pay for the land grab, mental torture and suffering. Best thing will be all good Pakistanis should come together and help rebuild the temple and houses. According to some other News reports temple has been there for over 100 years.
If other minorities don't support Hindus, same thing will happen to Shia and Ahmadi mosques and Christian churches.
I sympathize and at the same time unhappy with these people. Knowing that they are second class citizens why did they stay on?
This builder should be charged under blasphemy law.
Here we go again. Yet another embarrasment for the overseas pakistanis. You pakistanis sitting in your homes and allowing such should be ashamed. News like these reach all the world in no time these days. This is the age of tolerance. Keep your religion to yourself. You dont need to look down at every other religion but islam. I bet the arabs also are ashamed for converting us to islam..
@aam admi with clear heart:
Don't be surprised if all countries agree with that British Parliamentarian...nuking the country may be the only solution left...
What a shame this news has brought to all Pakistanis, especially Muslim Pakistani :(
good story as we need to highlight more issue s
Well people would never feel the pain of leaving their homeland.
@FS: "The builder should be arrested and put on trial on at least three counts: a) for blasphemy b) for violating the stay order of Sindh High Court. c) for robbery" . Your disgust is quite understandable. The news message has already been over sensitised, it would be advisable to revisit the incident and furnish the readers further reports and in greater detail. The little one knows would continue to obfuscate a clearer grip on the development of events. One can ask: . a, Did any of he objects belonging to the residents or the temple itself "robbed". . b, Did the builder, if he is required to obtain approval of demolishing any structure, get the permit? Is a special permit required to tear down structures which have historic or religious significance? . c, Were the residents, encroaches or not forewarned about demolition, and how many days in advance should this act take place? . d, Was any religious building effected by demolition? . e, Were the residential units built on the said "encroached" land? . f, If there are similar pieces of land occupied illegally by covering the same storm-drain, what legal action has been taken in such cases?
No land for poor pakistani hindus.
Think what will happen do if a builder destroys a mosque in Pakistan? Why this Act cant come under blasphemy law?

This is how bal thackeray was born. This is how anders breivik was born. There is no secularism in islamic countries.
another sad and dark day in this collapsed country... sadly there are hardly any comments in this article, as most of our muslim brothers are happy and enjoying this article sitting at the comfort of homes. Shame on pakistan..
This all was done under the supervision of the LEAs, there is no hope for justice. The builder mafia in Karachi is stronger than the courts.
Its really a said moment that a worship place is destroyed in Karachi. I wonder what would have been our reaction if mosque would have been destroyed? I feel ashamed that I as a citizen cant do tangible for fellow citizens, Hindus in Karachi. I appeal Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of this temple destruction and provide justice to the victims.
This country is dead. I find the comment by Military lands person astonishing.
we should remove the term islamic from our official name "islamic republic of pakistan" because there is nothing islamic about pakistan any more.
I was already ashamed to be a Pakistani, and now I am also ashamed to be a Muslim. Remember how we cried against Babri Masjid. And now this. People responsible should be taken to task. We have become a mafia society where might is right. We dont care about anything.
“The builder had possession of the place since years and these people were encroachers, and encroachers have no religion,” she added.
the obvious religious hatred and bigotry is evident here. The most astounding and shameless part is"encroachers have no religion" , astounding and shameless because it comes form a woman; of all, we expect at least the woman to show good nature and rationale thinking, but, if this how the women are being indoctrinated to hate religious minorities, i see a great future in waiting.
Anybody burns a Quran, the whole Muslim world reacts. Should Hindus not react in a similar way?
@Its (still) Econonmy Stupid: The economics works on the both side on the coin not one. A Peshawary
Why does an action against some persons is portrayed as a minority issue without finding out the facts. The people should show restraint before passing on comments. There are chances of personal benefits on both sides as it is court issue since long.
Media please; have a thoroughly investigations and point out the culprits instead of making a issue of conflict in the society.
A Peshawary
@Ahmed. I'm afraid it is not just Muslims who are money hungry extremists. You should start reading articles about Hindu extremists in India and their land grabbing tactics. It is just human nature. Also the person who actually owns the property has the legal right to demolish whatsoever that is illegally built on their property. Professional squatters need to be shown a lesson. Totally agree with @The Khan. People need to start thinking rationally and with less emotion.
I am really embarrassed from this news. How can I expect they will respect any mosque in India. Please stop this hatred towards minorities. They are equal to us according to Islam. Very sorry Hindu fellows I don't know when a tolerant society will be reality in Pakistan.
This incident will soon be forgotten in Pakistan just as the church that was burnt on the Love your prophet day is no longer talked about. But they will continue to talk about Babri Masjid incident that happened in India 20 years back.
Pakistan has just lost all moral authority to talk about the Babri Masjid demolition. Totally disgusting event.
My sympathies with you ashamed Pakistanis. You are living in a state which has no value for other religions and minorities.
@The Khan: Couldnt agree more.
@The Khan: Whose report did you see? "Demolishers put the gods safely on the side and didn’t hurt them a bit." This is laughable! What you hurt is the religious feeling of people who beleive in their God and not yours. This is a cowardly act and you know it.
Why this injustice was inflicted upon the handful of Hindu minority left in the country? As a muslim I am very sad and shocked at this action. These people must be properly compensated and provided land to make a new temple.
Come back to India. This country is not yours anymore.Pakistani muslims r cruel people.
@The Khan: What would you say if a mosque is destroyed somewhere and before it is destroyed, the demolishers take all the religious material and put it aside safely? Siddique Malik, Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
we are no longer proud to be pakistani after this
I hope good Pakistanis will support rebuilding of temple.
All you sympathisers should get together and raise money for these Hindus. Put your money where your mouth is.
This is utterly despicable: its a issue that should be of national concern and the builders involved should be held accountable for such a horrific act. I am shocked and disgusted and enraged by this! This should not be permissible anywhere. Especially with Pakistan's history, it is of utmost utmost importance for Pakistani institutions to bring to account anyone that demeans the religious practice of fellow Pakistanis. We need to collectively think about what it means for the country if the religious practice of fellow citizens can be so easily bulldozed out of the way. In such a country, no one is safe...but more importantly, its not just our bodies that are under threat, but our very ideals and morals...
Photograph of little boy holding Pakistani flag, despite the treatment meted out to him and to all minorities, is heart breaking.
The entire nation is shameful on this shameful act. Our religion allwos to respect other religion, holy places. What are we doing here.We are challanging the Edict of our creators. It is very much disgusting and sorrowful.
Allow them to come to India.
Pakistani comments here give me hint that Pakistan is changing and changing for gud...But I won't give my opinion or say anything on this incident as this is Pakistan's internal matter....
Disgusting and hypocritical. Just like terrorism, greed has no religion. The same lust for money resulted in the operation against the poor christian girl with Down's syndrome. But internationally Pakistan gets a bad name for treatment of its minorities.
Who should be held accountable? Pakistan collectively as its people? This is certainly no CIA/ RAW? MOSAD plot?
I wonder how we would've reacted if the Indian govt razed a mosque somewhere in India. We would've blown our top off and gone nuts! I wonder when our mullah driven society will realize this hypocrisy embedded in our population and understand thats why we're losing face internationally.
After reading this wanton destruction of place of worship in the heart of Karachi, I am disgusted at the GOP, at GOS and the Military managed Cantonment Board that allowed this to happen when legal proceeding were under way in Court. Cowasjee died bemoaning loss of Jinnah's Pakistan. No one learnt a single lesson from Cowasjee's writings. When Taliban come shooting our girls in the head like Malala, we find healing in a British hospital. When some major surgery becomes necessary, we go to an Indian hospital to get better. Pakistanis are an incorrigible people. Like the Hindus at the temple today, I too want to migrate to India and leave behind all that is ugly, horrible and unclean. Goodbye.....
This is one of hundreds of temples destroyed in Pakistan. Nothing new. Non-Islamic religions have no chance in an islamic country, especially Pakistan.
It's not surprising that a bunch of people who do not belong to the religion whose name is added to the name of the country are mistreated in that country. I feel sorry for these people but at the same time I think they are stupid to have stayed back after it became clear that this country's reason for existence is based on one particular religion.
A call for direction action day: Let us remove the white strip from the Pakistani national flag and be done with it. Why pretend? It's not the government or PPP or Laksher_XXX, It's we the people letting all this happen. ..ps
That is the reason we dont respect pakis and never let them enter into my Bharat. Overwhelming number of 180 million pakis r bigots. And they have gall to speak about Babri.
We will not differentiate between illegal temple or mosque: SC Dhananjay Mahapatra May 11, 2011, 01.48am IST
NEW DELHI: While taking action against illegal and unauthorised religious structures on public land, there will be no differentiation between a temple or a mosque, the Supreme Court said on Tuesday.
Singed by the court's September 29, 2009 order banning fresh construction of roadside religious structures and asking states to identify old ones for action against them, Karnataka Wakf Board pleaded for mercy before a bench of Justices Dalveer Bhandari, V S Sirpurkar and Deepak Verma. http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2011-05-11/india/295318491religious-structures-unauthorised-constructions
What about thousands of mosques that are built on encroached lands! is action being against these?
Since the court has given a stay in the demolision of the temple the court should now pull up the person responsible for the distruction and force him to build a new morden temple, larger than the orriginal and should also take part of his land and align it to the temple property. The court should also impose a very heavy fine to discourage others from doing the same.
Islam and tolerance...where ? and when ? Is this what they teach you in school ?
Did Hindu realizes when they Shaheed the Babri Masjid ? History repeats itself.
What is wrong with us that we can do this to our minorities ? Shame on us!!
Not to mention how conveniently the military land and cantonment officials rush to support private contractors.
This is tragic and shameful both because of the suffering of these poor Pakistani Hindu families and desecration of their religious structure but also for the damage to Pakistan's diverse cultural heritage. However, deep injustices toward the poor, most vulnerable citizens of the country are now an everyday occurence.
The state is non-existent and it is as if there is no government. How long can Pakistan survive with this state of utter anarchy?

Well done Pakistan. You continue to find new lows in human dignity. Ashamed of being part of this monster society.
There is no point in complaining, protesting against the atrocities committed against the minorities in Pakistan, because the country has already been delisted from the ranks of civilized nations. The only option left for the rest of the world is to concentrate on how to accommodate the persecuted minorities of Pakistan. I, as a citizen of India, demand my government to welcome helpless Paki Hindus into India and rehabilitate them with full government expenses. After all this is the only country in the world where a Hindu can find refuge. Oh yes! I am a secular person, perhaps, more than anyone else. And why do I consider myself as a secular person? The answer is simple, because I was born in a Hindu family. Whole of India is secular, because it's predominantly inhabited by Hindus!!
I am ashamed of being a Pakistani and a citizen of Karachi... Please arrange tickets for us too... as my relatives are living a far more better life over there rather than what we are living over here... and what about those mosques which are build on encroachments.... I want to see how they demolish those mosques; as encroachers have no religion!!!
i dont know why pakistanis feel we deserve any pity. we oppress ahmedis, shias, hindus, sikhs, and then complain when india thinks we are a nation of terrorists.
for those who say that most pakistanis arent like this. you are right. no one i know, and almost all my friends, and my family, are pakistani - but you are also completely incorrect
many pakistanis, maybe even MOST, do not actively support the way minorities are treated in pakistan.
but how many actually do anything about it? where are the popular uprisings and demonstrations against hindu/sikh treatment in pakistan? where are the well funded NGO's that do work on their behalf? no where. no one wants to actually do anything about it. because at the end of the day, while no one really cares enough.
And then they observe country wide strikes if Hindus demolish a mosque. Remember Babri Mosque?
Hold on. Let the concerned folks investigate and publish a report. If these are encroachers then there is no shame in demolishing those establishments even if its a temple. However if its found that the grievance are true then the culprits should be sentenced to exemplary punishments irrespective of their religion. Question is can Pakistani government do that?
@Ahmed: Take it easy guys. There may be truth in what DSP Pervaiz Iqbal says. I have known people to build temples in Delhi all the time when the Govt tries to demolish unauthorized localities (case in point : the Naraina bottle-neck on Ring Road in Delhi where the road couldn't be widened because owners of unauthorized shops had built a temple right on the road to protect their shops from being demolished. The temple was later removed but needed a court order which took years). I do agree with Mohammad Ali Siddiqui that the police violated the court's stay order.
Most horrid act of blasphemy . Those who demolished the mandir and desecrated
the Hindu gods should be subjected to full vigour of blasphemy laws . Our ulama
must launch a country-wide protest condemning this act, and urge stern action against
the offenders . It is an occasion to show to the world that Muslims respect all religions .
UnIslamic, Shameful and DISGUSTING!
Jai Pakistan, welcome to india
In terms of actual casualty numbers, Pakistan beats entire Rohingyan score over few years in any given month. and With due cognizance of the troubles of Rohingyan - Kurds, Armenians, Hindus in Pak received not a fraction of the attention Need I say anything more I rest my case
and encroachers have no religion,” she added.
I suppose same applied to Kasab and others like him.
pakistanis have no ground to shout on persecution of muslims anywhere in world as they themselves are not good follower of peace and liberty
As a Muslim I strongly condemn this illegal and awful act of raising a place of worship. Even if this Hindu Temple was an illegal occupation, court's decision would have been a final word. I am NOT a legal expert but as a citizen I know that Constitution of Pakistan gives every citizen fundamental right to practice religion.
It is not disgusting at all. It exposes the true faces of hypocrites, specially those who go on parading themselves as secular cum liberal.
where is sou motu?
“The people were given plenty of time to remove their belongings out of the house”
On 13 April 1919 Brigadier-General Reginald E.H. Dyer also gave the crowd at Jalliawala Bagh sufficient time to disperse----- none.
Is Islamic Congress Party, sleeping? Where is Mr, Faizal, Hassan Nissar, IK...Now these people will not open their mouth.
People are getting a bit too emotional just because Hindus are involved. I personally saw the report and there were just Hindu gods in houses which were built illegally and they werent paying bills at all. Demolishers put the gods safely on the side and didn't hurt them a bit. The only point which should be investigated is the stealing (allegedly)
I am ashamed being a Pakistani today, Islam teaches us tolerance and we are just herd of money making extremists
A full scale inquiry should be conducted to evaluate the situation while the Sindh High Court was hearing a petition seeking a stay order.
Does the SHO has powers to supersede the hearing of Sindh High Court?
I wonder what we will do if a builder destroys a mosque in Pakistan ? Will we sit and watch ? Horrible. Ashamed to call myself a Pakistani !!
Disgusting. All this happening in the, so called liberal and secular, PPP government! God save our minorities when the Sharifs come to power.
Feel ashamed to be living in a country where my fellow countrymen and their Gods are disrespected so much!
Disgusting.
