Reko Diq Case: SC seeks details of miners’ alliance

Mincor Resources NL developed an alliance with US-based mining company BHP for the Reko Diq Project in 2000.

ISLAMABAD: While hearing the Reko Diq case on Thursday, the Supreme Court (SC) sought the documents through which Tethyan Copper Company (TCC), BHP and Mincor Resources NL formed an alliance to explore gold and copper resources in the Reko Diq project. It was earlier reported that Mincor Resources NL developed an alliance with US-based mining company BHP for the Reko Diq Project in 2000. The alliance was later expanded to include TCC, a newly-created BHP subsidiary based in Australia.
