Negligent policemen: Drug pusher flees arrest scene

Officials are asked to report to ANF Headquarters to explain how the suspect escaped.

FAISALABAD: A man suspected of selling drugs managed to escape arrest on Tuesday night. Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) personnel had apprehended suspected drug seller Mian Rafi at the Railway Station Chowk. ANF personnel said he was caught when his car was stopped for checking.

They said it contained 34kg of hashish. Rafi is known to be a resident of Madni Park in Allama Iqbal Colony. The ANF team had handcuffed him and were searching the car when he managed to flee. Seven ANF officials were present; including ASI Maqbool Niazi, head constable Aftab Ahmad and Javaid Iqbal, constables Masood Aalam, Amjad, Haji Shahbaz and Subaidar Ashfaq. ANF authorities asked the officials to report to ANF Headquarters to explain how the suspect escaped.
