Religious Celebration: Arrangements for Guru Nanak’s 544th birthday

Indian Sikh pilgrims will arrive at Hassan Abdal Punja Sahab to participate in the 544th birthday celebrations of Guru Nanak on Thursday.


They will stay at Punja Sahab for two days and perform religious rituals. While chairing a meeting held in this regard, the District Coordination Officer Usman Chaudhry said that all possible facilities and security will be provided to the Sikh pilgrims.

He elaborate that foolproof security arrangements have been made and about 1,000 security personnel will be deployed to guard the venue. He further said 17 walk-through gates and 42 CCTV have also been installed. The pilgrims will be provided boarding facilities inside the gurdwara and in three government schools located in its proximity.
