Rehman Malik announces Rs200m for information on TTP spokesperson
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, the interior minister said that he does not consider Ehsan as the spokesperson of TTP and does not pay heed to his statements.
He stated it was Ehsan’s misunderstanding that he thought the government would spare him after several attacks, including the one on Malala Yousafzai.
The minister vowed that he would soon reveal real facts about Ehsan “who is working for external elements to destabilise Pakistan.
Ehsan has even threatened the media, Malik said, adding that the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) would soon capture him.
Earlier, the minister had offered a cash reward of Rs50 million for anyone with information about who was responsible for planting a bomb under the car of prominent journalist and TV anchorman Hamid Mir.
Giving a second chance to terrorist organisations, the minister had announced of lifting a ban on some proscribed organisations that are no longer involved in terrorist activities. He had also asked TTP chief Hakimullah Mehsud, Waliur Rehman, Punjabi Taliban chief Maulana Ismatullah Muawiya and pro-Pakistan Taliban leader Mullah Nazir to surrender for the sake of a peaceful future for their children.
“I knew where the TTP receives its weapons from. I would advise TTP leaders to surrender before our brave security forces catch you people,” the interior minister had declared.

Need clarification- Is this bounty for spokesperson for: Good Taliban or Bad Taliban? Or Punjabi Taliban or Afghani Taliban? Or the Taliban just released from the Pakistani Prison? Or the one who wants to open Office in UAE Taliban?

Bounty is nothing but bribe and admitting that the most powerful and feared intelligence agency ISI has failed to find out the spokesperson for TTP. It is interesting that statements from OBL or Zaweri or TTP have appeared regularly in the media. Bounty helped CIA to capture most of the Al Qaeda operative in Pakistan. ISI also failed to detect OBL, Zaweri or Radio Mullah to name few.

This blame game is to keep engages the people, nation stupid and limits the freedom of expression; Mr. Malik and Mr. Ehsanullah Ehsan are the names of the same person, the only difference one calls from Interior Office, while other calls from President House. After every incident it’s always been claimed or blamed, but so far the Nation did not saw any call or claim record or even not on-air by the media. All this mythical propaganda blame game are the tactics for cheap publicity and gaining behind the screen political and non-political goals.
We have to at least give RM credit for being one of the very few who have openly spoken out againt the Taliban and lived to tell the tale. It would however be wishful thinking to expect anyhting more than just talk from him.
Rehman Malik, expert of finding extetnal link in everything that happens in Pakistan, Rehman Malik who knows everything and vows to reveal in -- a day or two-- and never reveals, looks like getting the Jackpot promising money in millions everyday. Could be that this time he really, really knows and hopes to get huge sum of money through one of his goons? Afterall, Home Minister of a country could not be completely naive and idixx that he does not know what is happening around.

The announcing of reward is merely a publicity gimmick, a self promoting exercise and his govt as the IM is fully aware that nobody in Pakistan would dare disclose this information as he/she would be shot dead the very next day of receiving the reward. Similarly, nobody in Pakistan has so far come forward to give evidence against Hafiz Sayeed of reward announced by the US govt.

The IM should have also stated that this reward was announced since all intelligence agencies paid millions by the state have miserably failed to trace him and reward money would be deducted from their pay and allowances.

Our war is not against individuals, it is against decades of illusions that have been built up in the name of religion, decades of illiteracy and superstitions that plague our society and decades of ignorance and lawlessness that powerful men like you have turned a blind eye to.
