Diplomats: Cambodian deputy prime minister visits Lahore Fort

LAHORE:

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Dr Sok An along with a 10-member delegation visited the Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque on Saturday.

Talking to the reporters, Dr An said their visit to Pakistan was a good omen. He said he and his fellow delegates were impressed by Pakistan’s great civilisation and cultural heritage.

“We are very happy to be here and see the old civilisations of the India and Pakistan,” he said.

He said he specially liked the Sheesh Mahal (the hall of mirrors) at the Lahore Fort.

He said he was also impressed by the “momentous architecture of the Mughal emperors and the material used in the construction of the Lahore Fort”.

To a question, the Cambodian deputy prime minister said, “This is our personal visit to Pakistan. I hope this will prove to be helpful in promoting and strengthening the bilateral relations of Cambodia and Pakistan.”
