HYDERABAD/ KARACHI:

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) organised protests in Hyderabad and Karachi, respectively, to condemn Israel’s attack on Gaza.

MQM members took to the streets in Hyderabad and Shaheed Benazirabad on Friday to condemn the attack on Gaza and the terrorist attacks in Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and Rawalpindi.

The protests in Hyderabad were led by MQM’s zonal incharge Muhammad Sharif, MNA Tayab Hussain and MPA Suhail Yousuf. Members of the party also held demonstrations in Latifabad.

Meanwhile, the JI leaders criticised the United Nations for the unrest in Gaza.

The UN’s conscience appears handicapped in case of the massacre in Gaza, even though they sent a delegation to Pakistan to investigate human rights violations in Balochistan, said JI Sindh vice president Asadullah Bhutto.

He was addressing party activists at a rally in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.  JI Karachi president Muhammad Hussain Mehnati was also present.
