ISLAMABAD: Dr Asim Hussain, Adviser to the Prime Minister on petroleum and natural resources, has said on Tuesday that the supply of natural gas to domestic consumers is the top priority of the government. He said this in a meeting with parliamentarians who had called on him to apprise him of problems faced in the supply of natural gas to their respective constituencies. The meeting was also attended by the managing director and senior management of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL). The parliamentarians apprised Hussain on the progress on gas supply schemes in their respective constituencies, after which Hussain issued directives to SNGPL to expedite its work in the areas. Hussain also informed the parliamentarians that a SNGPL site office was being established in the ministry’s premises to cater to public complaints and to provide up-to-date information on gas supply and connection cases.
