Just compare home ministry under mqm and now under ppp...ppp wants to increase its hold in karachi through aman committee. Anyone can guess that
The solution is the setup that was under musharraf. Karachi and sindh were reaching new heights in development, economic boom and sustainable peace (peace that lasts for more than just 2 days after president's visit) but "democratic" people wanted bureaucratic people ruling over the people chosen by the people to govern them. Then some people wanted to distribute 300,000+ weapons "not to be used at weddings"
Karachi violence? The Police are there. The Rangers are there. The Army is there. Yet no change. All these have been tried. What has not been tried yet, is the effort by the people themselves. When the Police, the Rangers, the Army cannot help, what then people need to do? Do it yourself. Before doing anything, people need to organise. Organise themselves to be able to bring about peace. To be able to organise anything, needs qualifications and testimonials. To organise, the qualification, people need is to bring a change in their outlooks and habits. When people do organise a mass campaign to bring the needed change in themselves to be able to organise themselves to practicee self help, then they will be on the right track. To bring peace the qualifications needed for people at large is to become upholders of a rare commodity i.e. "Justice". Doing justice is absolutely vital pre-requisite to bringing about peace. Doing justice is absolutely vital pre-requisite of being a Muslim. We have tried leaving our destiny, our safety, our peace in the hands of the politicians, Police, Rangers, Army etc. did we manage to get it? No So what do we need to do? Do it ourselves. Methodically and peacefully. Haile Selassie the late ruler of Ethiopa said:. Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted, the indifference of those who should have known better, the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most, that has made it possible for evil to triumph” So the inaction of the people of Karachi and elsewhere will make the "EVIL" continue to triumph.
