Unofficial results: Lakhani elected new SHCBA president
Lakhani secured 719 votes against 572 of his rival candidate Advocate Mushtaq A Memon.
KARACHI:
Mustafa Lakhani has been elected as president of the managing committee of the Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA), according to unofficial results of the election of the bar association held for the year 2012-13 at the SHC premises on Saturday. According to unofficial results, Lakhani secured 719 votes against 572 of his rival candidate Advocate Mushtaq A Memon. Advocate Yousuf Maulvi was elected vice president with 864 votes over 411 votes of his rival Advocate Akhlaq Ahmed Khan. Advocate Asghar Nasim Faruqi was elected as general secretary with 672 votes against 614 votes secured by his rival Advocate Muhammad Saleem Mangrio.
