Motorway: One killed, 5 injured including DIG
The injured were taken to the tehsil headquarters Hospital.
PINDI BHATTIAN:
A woman died and five others were injured on Friday in a three-car pileup on the Lahore-Rawalpindi Motorway. The victim identified by the police as Tasneem Sadiq, a resident of Mandi Bahauddin. Police said Sadiq hit the car in front of her while she was trying to overtake it. The motorway police vehicle was behind Sadiq’s car, police said. The driver of the police vehicle tried to apply brakes but the cars collided. Among the injured were Motorway Police DIG (Headquarters) Nisar Ahmed Saroya and his driver Waseem Akhtar. The injured were taken to the tehsil headquarters Hospital.
