An additional district and sessions judge has directed the Factory Area SHO to take action against an assistant sub-inspector for verbally abusing and threatening a complainant.
Petitioner Tariq Dawood submitted that he was returning home on June 26 when seven people, including Khawar Zubair and Umar Zubair, abducted him at gun point.
He told the court that he went to the police to register an FIR against the suspects after they released him but the SHO did not do so.
He said he petitioned the court to issue directions to register a case against the suspects. He said the police did not register a case despite orders from the lower court. He said the case was only registered after the Lahore High Court was moved.
He submitted that Investigation Officer Ijaz on October 24 asked him to report to the police station where he threatened him in front of the accused. He asked the court to take action against the ASI.
