Khan gave a speech at the Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi expressing his support for Malala and stressed the importance of women empowerment in Pakistan.
Malala, a 15-year-old child rights activist, was shot in the head by the Taliban on her way back home from school for speaking against them. She survived the attack and is currently recuperating at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
“The message of peace resonates from personalities like Malala who become institutions,” Khan was quoted as saying. He further described Malala as a “star” and a “source of inspiration”.

Some people just get out of their wits when they see the international recognition Malala is getting for her courage.
Hasan! Get a life. You seem very ignorant. If you don't know what Malala stood for, just search for Malala's interviews and speeches that she delivered before Oct 9,- the day she was attacked. She was already a well-known name throughout the world and people knew what she stood for. She was not a passive victim like others. She spoke and stood for peace and girls education in her Taliban-ridden area
To stardom! get ready for presidential elections, bollywood star roles, international conferences.. this can happen only in pakistan, where one incident is so hyped while thousands other who faced same issue is forgotten and left to rot in this country... Anyways, get well..
And after that, she will contest American elections :P..
On a serious note, hope she gets fit and fine soon!
I think Malala is a most loved and admired Pakistani girl. Her parents should not allow any anybody to use her to advance their causes. She should concentrate on her education till the time is old enough to work for her cause and dreams.
The world community is keen to honour Malala with Nobel Peace Prize. In other places people have declared her as the Role Model for the young generation. UN celebrates Malala day. Roads and schools are being named after her. She seems to be a fit case to replace Mr. Zardari in the Presidency.
