Documents obtained by Roznama Express revealed that the data was also obtained from motor vehicle manufacturers and electricity distribution companies among other institutions.
At least 6,010 people who send their children to branches of a private educational institute, built in a specific region, evaded tax while 35,673 evaders bought new cars from three auto manufacturing companies in one region.
According to the information received, most of the people who send their children to expensive schools and buy new costly vehicles did not have National Tax Number (NTN), while many are even hiding their original incomes.

FBR SHOULD BE PRIVITISED TO SAVE PAKISTAN AND TO SAVE THIS INSTITUTION AS WELL.

Has FBR done anything with such lists? It seems that FBR is constantly coming up with such tall claims of identifying people/companies but i havnt seen a single report of FBR taking action on any such case
The FBR finally appears to have got it's act right. It is amazing that quite a few individuals and newspapers seem unhappy with the FBR's Registration and Enforcement scheme when history shows that prior efforts to broaden the tax base through conventional means have only resulted in a greater degree of corruption by past FBR regimes who never used NADRA data, although such information has been available for many years. Those critical of the Registration and Enforcement scheme appear totally unaware that NADRA data was not used in past "Amnesty" schemes therefore these failed, that is not the case now. The FBR's new efforts appear very promising.
All talk no action. Did you catch any big fish. How much money was added to the federal taxes pool? We have been reading these kind of news for the last five yrs. Show me any big name(politician, bussinessman, parlimentarian, goernor,chief minister or ex army general) who has been put behind the jail or who filed for Bakruptcy because he could not pay taxes.This kind of thing happens all the time in USA. Recently Governor of Illonois state (from Chicago) was put in jail.
