Sources told Geo News that accused Waseem, who hails from Karachi, had been hiding in the Town Ship area of Lahore for one month. During his arrest, another accused managed to escape.
He has been shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
According to the police, Waseem was wanted in dozens of cases besides the murder of the Geo News reporter.

Zardari's Politics of reconciliation has destroyed the peace in Karachi. All the witnesses have been eliminated and now how can you convict any one. MQM Zindabad.
he is soo handsome, so he is a pakistani.
But he is only the accused... there are no witnesses to prove the blame on him.
What is the point they have already killed all the eye witness and will be set free by the court as it normally happens in this country. horribly weak prosecution and judicial system has led to current state of security as killers have no fear of punishment (though they forget what is waiting for them on the day of judgement). These crazy killers should be shot at sight. 10 / 15 such encounters and they will think 100 times before killing innocent pple.
When there is no will, there is no way..... govt is not interested in punishing culprits who belong to one of its allies so witnesses are not protected
