Joshua Jackson, known for his role in Dawson's Creek, is the latest celebrity impacted by the wildfires raging across Southern California. According to Page Six, Jackson’s childhood home in Topanga Canyon, valued at $2 million, has been destroyed by the fires that have been sweeping through Los Angeles this week.
The actor's family-oriented residence, once filled with lush green trees and bushes, was reduced to ashes. Fortunately, the backyard and swimming pool were spared, standing untouched by the flames, though the surrounding hills have been left barren by the destruction.
The actor had re-purchased the property in 2001 and spoke to Mr Porter magazine about its sentimental value. Jackson described the house as a place where "everything felt simple," a sentiment he shared during a 2023 interview with E! News. He explained that the house was “very baby-oriented and family-oriented inside,” highlighting how it had become a home for his young family.
At the time of the fire, Jackson, his ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith, and their daughter Juno had been living in the home. The property was not only a personal anchor for Jackson but also a place where he raised his daughter. In 2021, he revealed that his daughter slept in the same room that once served as his childhood bedroom.
This devastating loss is just one of many among Los Angeles residents as wildfires continue to wreak havoc across the area.
