Old rivalry: Girl dies in crossfire

The injured have been admitted to hospital where Nazeeran Bibi is stated to be in a critical condition.

GUJRANWALA: A girl died and five people were injured in an exchange of fire between rival groups at Thatha Azamdad on Monday. Six months ago, Farooque and Khalid had exchanged hot words over purchasing a motorcycle. Neighbours settled the dispute. On Monday, Farooque and his accomplices opened fire on Kahlid. Rashida, 10, who was passing by, was hit by a bullet and died on the spot. Barkat, Siddique, Nazeeran Bibi, Nasrullah and Imran were injured in the crossfire.  The injured have been admitted to hospital where Nazeeran Bibi is stated to be in a critical condition.
