Caught in the crossfire: Wedding guests kill robber

"A special team has been constituted to arrest the robber that escaped”, says Jaranwala City SHO.

FAISALABAD: Guests at a wedding shot a robber dead in Jaranwala City police station area on Monday. Police said two robbers stopped a car carrying a wedding party near Galhar Mor to rob them. However the guests put up resistance and when the robbers resorted to firing, some people in the wedding party including Lumberdar Farrukh Nadeem of Chak No.624-GB returned fire and a robber was killed while his accomplice ran away. Jaranwala City SHO said, “We took the robber’s body to the mortuary at tehsil headquarters hospital for postmortem and a special team has been constituted to arrest the robber that escaped.”
