MULTAN:

Army chief Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has not said any such thing which is unconstitutional and a threat to democracy in Pakistan, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

He was talking to reporters in Arifwala, a rural town of Sahiwal district, where he had come to offer condolences to MPA Dr Farrukh Javed over the death of his father.

“Kayani had never said any word to create conflict with the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan,” Shahbaz said.

He said that decisions of the Supreme Court are never a threat to democracy in Pakistan and they will never be.

About the Asghar Khan case, he said the Supreme Court has not mentioned the name of a single politician in its decision and it has only said that the politicians did not abide by their oath.

Talking about the election strategy of PML-N, he said: “Our target is simply to completely defeat PPP not only in Punjab but across Pakistan.”

Powerful general’s warning not for crusader chief of the country’s apex court. His veiled warning for those crossing the limits of their constitutional obligations.

Some relevant corner are indicating toward the landmark judgement, has come in the Asgher Khan case but wrong absolutely wrong.

Pointed attack was not over the judgement.

The fact is that at the time of address Balochistan’s political and war strategy was in his mind which is deteriorating passing by the time.Armed forces are facing tough circumstances there.

Cross border attacks from Afghanistan,Taliban insurgency inside the country and balochistan’s situation.Three fronts are opened before them and army defeating them for security ,stability and sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The person,or persons and institution by their evil deeds creating some difficulties in tthe way,Army chief targeted them and warned them not the head of the apex court.

General’s address to the officers was totally under the ring of the constitution,on the other Chief justice’s nine page speech was absolutely in the ring of the constitution.

But some concerned quarters, who want no peace in the country and want a new unrest spreading romours deliberately.People shouldn’t draw attention on their baseless propaganda.

A statement or speech by the heads of the institutions to clear the atmosphere would have been better ( to hear from the horse’s mouth) instead of intermediary’s analytic conclusion.
