Rules Violation: PMDC cancels private college admissions

They cannot conduct their own entry tests. However, they are allowed to give an aptitude test and interview.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) cancelled the admissions by 15 private medical colleges in violation of PMDC rules.


Private medical and dental institutions are allowed to start admissions only after determination of merit by the respective provincial testing/admission authorities.

They cannot conduct their own entry tests. However, they are allowed to give an aptitude test and interview.

According to the PMDC, the 15 medical colleges had violated the admission rules. The colleges are Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College, Lahore, Azra Naheed Medical College, Lahore, Multan Medical and Dental College, Multan, Shalamar Medical and Dental College, Lahore, Rashid Latif Medical College, Lahore, Sharif Medical and Dental College, Lahore, Yusra Medical and Dental College, Islamabad, Margalla College of Dentistry, Rawalpindi, CMH Lahore Medical College, Lahore, Institute of Dentistry, Lahore Medical and Dental College, Lahore, Islamic International Medical College, Rawalpindi, Foundation University Medical College, Rawalpindi, Shaikh Zayed Medical College, Lahore, and Central Park Medical College, Lahore.

I assure you that none of these who have already selected will be deprived from admission if the admission is reprocessed because all these are high merit students. @Rabia K:
