Pakistan were ahead, leading 40-31 with just 10 minutes remaining when an Indian raider came for his second consecutive attack which snowballed into an argument after a point was awarded to Pakistan.
According to the rules, a raider can only attack once and then a different raider has to come.
The argument forced team officials to step in to avoid confrontation between the players. However, the Indian team refused to continue to play.
Talking to The Express Tribune, Pakistan team coach Tahir Waheed said that although he was ecstatic with the win but felt that the final should not have ended in such manner.
The Pakistani coach added that the World and Asian Kabaddi Federation should come up with a strict policy to ensure that rules are followed, given they were not implemented thoroughly in the game.
Waheed particularly lauded Lala Obaidullah’s performance, saying that he played a major role in the triumph.
Pakistan received the winner’s cheque of Rs1.5million while India pocketed Rs1million as first runners-up. The third spot was grabbed by Iran.

Your medals of second position will always remind you pakistani victory. Just give me one answer, if you team donot accept the final results than why your team receive the medals and tropy of second position.
A repeat of 1996 eden garaden semi final drama.
Well Done Pakistan, Great job India. Who so ever plays good should Win, we need to shed our petty nationalism. Thumbs Up for Pakistan, Like for India !!!
I don't know why any Indian has to say Pakistan cheated or anything. They won. Congratulations to them on their performance. Hope it leads to more good. That's it. :-)
Great news. I am so happy.
Kabaddi is not Cricket that your wicket falls , you cannot come back. Its a team game like football where striker remains as striker and defenders are defenders. In India PM serves consecutive terms. The rules applied were flawed.
Well played Indian team, please do come back again. Our neighbors are welcome any time.

'Great win that will help kabadi revival in Pakistan.'
It's just the begining, my friend. It will also inspire our cricket team in the coming series and we will start beating them just like we used to beat them during the Mughal period. And who knows? It might also help us liberating Kashmir from the Indians.
Gujjars The Royals :) It looked more like a match between Singh and Gujjar, Gujjar dominated whole match and clinched Pakistan to victory. Singh isn't king :)
