Healthy cause: Conference on cardiac diseases concludes

"The conference had helped local experts learn from experts from developed countries", says PIC Chief Executive.

The three-day international conference on cardiac diseases arranged by the Punjab Institute of Cardiology concluded at the Avari Hotel on Sunday.


Talking to the media, PIC Chief Executive Bilal Zakariya Khan said the conference had helped local experts learn from experts from developed countries. He said holding such conferences regularly gave confidence to medical experts and enabled them to update their knowledge. He said specialists from America, Britain, India, Saudi Arabia and Occupied Kashmir had delivered lectures on Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology.

In response to a question, Khan said Rs 16 million had been spent on arranging the conference. He said an electrocardiography (ECG) machine and some other equipment had been donated for the PIC.
