Believe It Or Not: 1.5kg hair ball found in child’s belly

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Doctors at the Shaikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan removed a one-and-a-half kilogram ball of hair from a three-year-old’s stomach after an operation on Friday. The operation continued for more than four hours. The parents told The Express Tribune that the child, Fatima, had a habit of swallowing hair and threads she found on the floor. They said they had reprimanded her several times and tried to keep the house clean, but she did not stop. They said on Thursday Fatima complained of a stomach ache. They took her to the hospital, where after several tests, doctors told them that she needed surgery. Doctors, who treated her, said they had never conducted such a surgery before. They said the girl was now out of danger.
