The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued notices to Imran Farhat for not filing his tax statements for 2010 and 2011, Express News reported on Tuesday.

Farhat had reportedly earned around Rs15 million in 2010 and Rs4.7 million in 2011 from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The cricketer told Express News that he had not evaded taxes. He further said that he had submitted tax statements to the cricketing board.

Earlier, the FBR had imposed Rs7.589 million income tax on cricketer Umar Akmal.

FBR claimed it has repeatedly issued Akmal notices to provide information on his income, but the cricketer reportedly failed to do so.
