According to a DawnNews report, Malik apologised to the general public for the inconvenience caused by the closure of cellular services, however adding that the step taken by the government helped prevent terrorists from carrying out attacks.
Malik had announced on October 26 that cellular services would be suspended in select parts of the country on the first day of Eidul Azha between 6am to 10am.
