Cyber policing: Cops attend training

ISLAMABAD: A three-day training course on “Digital Data Analysis” was arranged by the cyber crime unit of the Islamabad police to provide training to policemen on how to gather digital evidence from crime scenes. Investigation officers from different police stations of Islamabad attended the course. The participants were taught how to gather digital evidence from crime scenes and were introduced to digital recording devices and their analysis, as well as the legal aspects of digital evidence. The course was conducted by the Cyber Crime Unit on directions from Islamabad IGP Bani Amin Khan under the supervision of Headquarters DIG Sultan Azam Temuri at Police Lines. The IGP also attended the concluding ceremony and distributed certificates among 23 successful participants.
