Board meeting: ICH highlights its performance

The increase in revenue will lead to an increase in income tax, which will be paid to the government by LDI operators.

ISLAMABAD: The second round of International Clearing House (ICH) board meeting was held at Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) headquarters in Islamabad on Tuesday. According to a press release, in the first session, the ICH board deliberated on agenda items including the ICH business for the last 21 days and approvals were accorded regarding matters pertaining to ICH business. In the second session, a presentation was given to Secretary Ministry of Information Technology Amir Tariq Zaman Khan and his team. An ICH committee apprised the participants about the performance of the clearing house since its inception. It said ICH has earned foreign exchange during the first 21 days of business. It has also generated huge development funds to be allocated to the Universal Service Fund (USF). The increase in revenue will lead to an increase in income tax, which will be paid to the government by LDI operators.
