The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is looking for a batting coach for the national team and has advertised for the vacancy on its website.

Former captain Javed Miandad was involved in a consultancy role ahead of the World Twenty20 but a full-time batting coach was not hired. In the advertisement, the PCB has stated requirements of a five-year working experience with ‘elite cricketers’ and a ‘level III cricket coaching accreditation’. The PCB Game Development Department, National Cricket Academy will receive applications, the deadline for which has been set for November 4.

Former Australia cricketer Dav Whatmore is the head coach, Julien Fountain has been given the fielding department responsibilities while former fast-bowler Mohammad Akram was named bowling coach prior to the series against Australia.
