Replying to the show-cause notice issued by the board, all-rounder Abdul Razzaq said that he does not have any personal tiff with T20 Captain Muhammad Hafeez.
Razzaq maintained that the motive of his press conference was not to hurt anyone and that he was driven by emotions.
“Muhammad Hafeez is a very good friend of mine and I will not give him a chance to complain again,” said Razzaq.
Razzaq created controversy by blaming the captain for his exclusion from the World Twenty20 semi-final against Sri Lanka, which Pakistan lost by 16 runs, describing the decision as “illogical and taken only by Hafeez.”
The all-rounder had said, “If he has dropped me, he should say that it was his [Hafeez’s] decision to drop me, and that he is the captain and it’s his planning.”
Razzaq was dropped from the team after a 17-ball 22 against Australia to make way for Sohail Tanvir in the playing-XI.

@sara i have substantiated, with the proof of some evidence which is in the knowledge of most common public, that neither is he POOR nor is he NOT well connected. at no point have i denied the merits of him having earned that right. what part of your mind forgot to register that? He has played at the highest level for the country for plenty of years but face it: he hasn't given a noteworthy performance in years. One century knock against the South Africans in Abu Dhabi (and that too against a predominant pace attack, something he is good at) seems all too distant ago. Time now to go out gracefully, of all what's left of it.

He deserves a big fine and also few games ban. As a cricketer he should have known a fact that no one can guarantee a good or bad performance in the game of cricket and in many other sports.

well...he is an excellent player, but nobody's exempted from rules. Everyone should follow the code of conduct set by the board. Though he was neglected, he must have kept some patience rather than putting himself in trouble, that too being such an experience player!
@HH. But overall he is a great player and one alway gets the feel that he has not been properly utilized. Still can't figure out why wasn't he included in the team in the T20 semi-final !!!
I think PCB is somewhat arrogant. Their egos should not be that high that they can't stand a sentence from a world class player particularly after he has been neglected.
On top of that the other news in the today's express tribune is "Kamran Akmal to lead Pakistan in Super Sixes" --- now I think if Pakistani's were to vote, they'll agree that Kamran Akmal is not even half as good as Razzaq. Besides he carries corruption charges. But still he is leading and Razzaq is paying fines. Does that not bother any one?
@shahid poor family? no connections? are you serious? Razzak has been playing Int'l cricket for more than a decade and that too at the top most level. Razzak imported a Ferrari during his stint with Middlesex. And for him to be still playing at international level is enough to substantiate the connections.
