CDA and the Directorate of Emergency & Disasters Management (E&DM) will make joint teams that comprise skilled manpower and necessary logistic support.
The directorate will take up tasks related to the relief and rehabilitation in addition to its existing responsibilities in the federal capital. Elahi said that CDA was extending all possible support to NDMA in relief efforts.
He added that in addition to the collaboration with E&DM, CDA also intends to support relief efforts in the health and hygiene sector.
He said that a medical team consisting of Director Health Services, Additional Director Health Services and Medical Officer of CDA have also been attached to NDMA.
He said that CDA was actively participating in the emergency services and relief efforts and had established the Chairman CDA Flood Relief Fund.
Officers of CDA have donated two-day salaries, while lower-grade employees have donated one-day salary to this fund, Elahi said, adding that relief goods for flood victims were being dispatched at regular intervals.
