NAUDERO: District activists of the ruling party held a rally in support of the new local government system on Friday. The solidarity rally led by the Naudero general secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Khalid Memon and senior vice president Sikandar Katpar marched through the main roads and then left for Larkana around 18 kilometres away. The protesters held a demonstration at the Jinnah Bagh roundabout in Larkana city where the speakers condemned the recent acts of violence against the PPP leaders.  Khalid Memon said that nationalists had kept mum during Pervez Musharraf’s era when the local government system was introduced. The participants shouted slogans of “Jeay Bhutto” and termed the recent attacks terrorism. The rally participants also expressed solidarity with the provincial law minister, Ayaz Soomro, whose house in Shaikh Zayyed Colony was targeted in a bomb attack recently. Ayaz Soomro is also the Larkana district president of the PPP.
