The Turkish government has decided to partner with private investors in establishing a medical university in Thatta. Turkish Consul General Murat Mustafa Onart made the announcement while meeting Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Khuhro and other officials on Thursday. Khuhro appreciated the Turkish government’s initiative, and said that it will bring a “positive change” in the lives of the people of the coastal area. Dr Suleman Shaikh, secretary of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology’s board of trustees, said that a medical city would also be developed at Dhabeji with assistance from Turkey. Pak-Turk International Colleges and Schools Foundation chairman Younal Tausar informed officials about the network of schools that it operates across Pakistan.
