Yaum-e-Ali (RA) to be observed today

KARACHI: The martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA) will be observed today with a main majlis at Nishtar Park at noon to be addressed by Allama Furqan Haider Abidi.

The majlis will emerge from the park and be led by the Botarab Scouts. The participants will offer Zuhr prayers outside Imam Bargah Ali Raza at 2 pm at MA Jinnah Road. The convention will pass through old Numaish, MA Jinnah Road, Empress Market, Regal Chowk, Denso Hall and Bolton Market and end at Hussainian Iranian in Kharadar. Medical camps will be set up along the route with a main one at Numaish roundabout by Al Abbas Scouts Group.

Security will be tight and police and rangers will be deployed at sensitive spots, mosques, imambargahs and along the route.

Leaders of the Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan, Allama Abbas Komeli, Maulana Hussain Masoodi, Maulana Ikram Hussain Termizi, Allama Mukhtar Hussain, Allama Shabbir Hussain Tahiri, Allama Jaffer Hussain Naqvi and Quaid-i-Millat Jafferia Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi demanded the government increase security on Yaum-e-Ali (RA).

The Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) will not shut down power from 1 pm to 11 pm at places where majalis are being held and on the routes of the procession. KESC will supply a generator at Nishtar Park and at Hussainian Iranian. The water board will supply water to imambargahs and make arrangements at 10 spots along the procession’s route.
