KARACHI:

Mohammad Rasool hit a crucial brace as KESC downed Wapda 4-3 in a thrilling encounter at the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL).

Seasoned-striker Arif Mehmood put Wapda in front in the 11th minute at the Railway Football Stadium in Lahore. However, their joy was short-lived as Jaleel Ahmed equalised 11 minutes later before KESC added another goal in the 24th minute through Rasool. Mohammad Essa made it 3-1 in favour of KESC as he struck moments before the half-time whistle.

But the see-saw match continued as Wapda pulled one back in the 76th minutes. But just when it looked that Wapda will equalise, KESC scored in the 80th minute courtesy Rasool. Wapda refused to throw in the towel as Mahmood struck in the 83rd minute to give them some hope. However, KESC held their nerve to gain three precious points.

Elsewhere, Army beat Afghan FC 1-0, while PMC held PIA to a 1-1 draw.
