Targeting education: Boys primary school destroyed

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

CHARSADDA: A government boys schools was blown up in Charsadda, raising the number of destroyed schools in the area to 27. Charsadda police officer Rokhan Zeb told The Express Tribune that the boys primary school in Malka Dehri had been destroyed by explosives on Monday night. Charsadda Executive District Officer for Education, Attaullah Mina Khel said that out of 27, only five schools had been rebuilt. The provincial government has held the salaries of the guards who were meant to be on duty when the schools were destroyed. According to a Bomb Disposal Squad official, the bomb weighed five kilogrammes. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
